Dr. Johnstone grew up in the Northwest, then graduated from Washington University Medical School.
He completed his residency training at Harvard Medical School Ophthalmological Program, Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary.
This was followed by a faculty appointment as a Harvard Teaching Fellow in Ophthalmology, obtaining subspecialty training in glaucoma and surgery of complicated cataracts associated with glaucoma.

| Dr. Mills specializes exclusively in glaucoma, and is certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology. Dr. Mills graduated from Yale University and from Yale Medical School in New Haven, Connecticut. He completed his ophthalmology residency at the University of Washington, and his glaucoma fellowship at the University of British Columbia. He was on the faculty at the UW for over twenty years, and was Acting Chair before departing to become Professor and Chair of the Department of Ophthalmology at the University of Kentucky from 1999-2002. |

| He is very happy to be returning to the Pacific Northwest and to be joining the premier glaucoma practice in Seattle with Dr. Johnstone. His research interests include diagnostic tests for glaucoma and quality of life measurement in glaucoma patients. He is a former president of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the Washington State Academy of Ophthalmology, and currently serves as Director of the American Board of Ophthalmology, Vice-Chair of the Ophthalmology Residency Review Committee, and delegate to the American Board of Medical Specialties. He is editor of EyeNet Magazine, on the editorial board of the Journal of Glaucoma, and is author of over 100 peer-reviewed publications. |

Dr. Annisa L. Jamil grew up in Burr Ridge, a western suburb of Chicago, IL. She completed her undergraduate work at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and received her medical degree in 1999 from the Chicago Medical School in North Chicago, Illinois.
After a year of general surgery at Rush Medical Center, she finished a residency in Ophthalmology at Cook County Hospital in Chicago, Illinois. |
| Dr. Jamil then completed a fellowship in glaucoma in Portland Oregon, where she spent her time at the Devers Eye Institute, Casey Eye Institute and at the Portland VA Hospital. Her research interests during her fellowship included studying vasoactive compounds as a possible cause or predictor of glaucomatous optic neuropathy. Dr. Jamil specializes exclusively in glaucoma and difficult cataracts and is certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology. |
